First I got up, well woke up. I actually had no desire to leave my nice warn comfy bed. I considered turning off the alarm, pretending like it never went off. Not waking the girls up and playing hooky. This is responsible parenting right? I could call it a sick day. I could even disguise my voice and throw in a cough or two when I called the school. Yes, yes this will work! I will call and claim illness and we will spend the day in bed watching old movies and snuggling. I start to imagine how great this will be.....
... in the bed, dog at our feet, enjoying a great kid friendly chicky flick like
'girls just wanna have fun'. we laugh, we smile, we cuddle! No one argues
no one complains.....
With that last sentence I knew I was dreaming, that would NEVER happen. You see this is the reality of how my day of hooky would have started...
...I would have gotten about a half hour more of sleep, I would have had to get up, make breakfast
than I would have had to put on my referee costume and deal with the "she wont play with me,
she is being mean. I am hungry, can we have a snack, is it lunch time...etc etc.....
The day I had dreamed would never be relaxing...so off they went to school and than I went back to bed.
Awww relaxing!
I did nothing today, at least nothing that wasn't required. I cooked dinner and did homework but anything beyond providing basic care of frick and frack (you know the things required by law..food and shelter) I decided to do tomorrow. So in my day of nothing I leave you, I must continue to do nothing which requires me exhausting myself while I pick up the remote and watch Modern Family.
Oh and I have coffee... here's to nothing! Night!
Nothing is so fabulous!

I still love love love that photo!! We all need lazy days and hey if you have the opportunity I say use it lol
