Day 27

I am a day behind in posting so tonight... you get two! How lucky!

I have to say I just love where I live! The scenery around here is so beyond what my imagination had conjured up. I am amazed every time I visit a new place. I don't know many people that can live so close to a large city but still feel like they are in the country and than turn around and feel as if they are in some tropical island with a beautiful ocean surrounding them.

This is Charlestown Landing. A beautiful park! You could spend all day here and never be bored. I actually plan to go back because I wasn't even close to being able to enjoy it all!
There are great walking paths where the trees grow over and meet each other.
There are lakes with chairs inviting you to sit. Not just a regular old lawn chairs or bench either, great Adirondack chairs...a real southern charm.
The moss grows off the trees and gently moves with the cool fall breeze.
The alligators stay in the ponds...(at least this visit).
The beautiful cranes walk around the banks.
There are historical boats sitting amongst marsh lands.

It is in all of this splendor that I realize how beautiful our lands are. Mother nature though sure out did herself here.
If you ever get a chance to visit Charleston, I highly recommend it! You wont regret it... oh and if you do I know a great photographer who can take your picture!
I'm so in love with you South Carolina!
