Day 19

Today I got to go to the girls school.

Noodles (Nicki) was getting the terrific kid award. Kinda like student of the month.
I have known she was getting this award but it was a surprise to her.
She was called out of class and was sitting there with other kids when she saw....
ME!!!

This poor child had the biggest look of fear on her face! She so thought she was in trouble! Deep Trouble! The kind they call your parents in for. She saw the principal, the vice principal and big scary ME!

I couldn't take it anymore, she was ready to bust into tears! I couldn't have that! I had her wear a cute outfit, lovingly straightened her hair...none of that went with a red, blotchy face!
I let her in on the secret, she was there because she was good!
She breathed a sigh of relief!

OK... SO enough about her!

I have to say I am so proud of ME!
You read right... ME!

I am the one who is raising little Miss. Overachiever. I am the one that sits there and forces her to do her homework, drills her spelling words and math facts into her. I am the one that gives her that wholesome breakfast in the morning...Captain Crunch contains 9 whole grains and vitamins! I am the one who gets her to bed on time.
Most importantly it's me who tells her how much she rocks, how great she is, how smart she is and how gorgeous she is.

So here is my question...
Where is my certificate? Where's my bumber sticker? and most importantly where the heck are my coupons? Did they think I wouldn't want a Happy Meal? I can eat chicken nuggets just as well as she can.. and you wanna know something, I don't get ketchup all over my face either!
Score one for mom!!!
I like ice cream and I don't spill it down my shirt!
Score two for mom!!!
Don't even get me started on the free tacos! At least I don't need a fork when I am done with mine!
Score three for mom!!!

So I was just saying, maybe you could throw in a coupon for the moms. Here are a few suggestions I think we would enjoy....

Free Beer On Us!
One frozen margarita... jumbo sized!
Spa day... we will watch the kids!
Date night... with the girls!
A years supply of Motrin!

and the best...

Summer School!!!!

In all reality.. so proud of Nicole! She works really hard and is such a great friend. She is kind and loving!

I am lucky she is raising ME!

She really is Terrific!
