Day 15

Out with the old.

I had options of things I could do today. Laundry, cleaning, catch up on old Law & Orders. None of these were sounding particularly appealing.

Shopping!

That sounded like a good ol' time!

Oh hold up...Bank of America keeps insisting that I have no money for that!
Whats a girl to do?

I sit on my couch...I look over to the kitchen (open floor plans gotta love them). I say to myself once again how I hate the mint ice cream looking walls. I do actually HATE them! They are horrid!

The old owners of this house had the worst taste in colors and paint!
I have these butter looking cabinets, yucky counters that have a hint of blue specks in them and don't even get my started on the flooring! It's golf ball pitted linoleum! UGHHHH!

So i have decided a few things...one... I am a military spouse! I have been given the most wretched housing ever to live in and somehow turned it into a home! I can do the same here! two... I watch HGTV...I have seen them design it on a dime ( I think I have a few of those), design to sell, crash yards and bathrooms and kitchens. I am all over this!
BUT...
like I said I only have a few dimes! How can I make this work for a small budget?
PAINT!

So today I put on my painting clothes, I have lovingly masked my edges and got out my step ladder.
I am rolling up my sleeves. Getting down and dirty, and making this house, my home!

No longer will the words split pea, lime,  pickle or mint come to mind when I look at my kitchen.
From this day forward Lady Bower Blue will grace me with her presence. And for this special day I'll let Lady Gaga sing her a welcoming song!

And as soon as I get some more dimes, HGTV also makes it seem so easy to lay back splash and tile!

 Bring it on house...I got my tool belt on!
